Random House picks up "Fifty Shades..."

As the world of traditional publishing continues to crumble around us, it seems that the Big Six are getting more desperate than ever. Each trad publisher is trying to get ahead of the other by cashing in on the latest self-pubbed craze, quality be damned.

No less a publisher than Random House has succumbed.

I guess I should see this as a good sign for indie authors. Maybe.

I've not read the Fifty Shades series although I think it is intended for women my age...:-)

There are also plenty of imitations on Amazon, with slight variations in the title. Sort of second-degree fan fiction, I guess!
