Book review: Elixir of Death, by Paul Dyer

I hadn't really intended to do three book reviews in a row, but that's how it turned out. I should also add a note that these aren't really reviews in the formal sense of the word. Rather, they are ratings and reactions to the book that I typically post on Goodreads.

Elixir of DeathElixir of Death by Paul Dyer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A well-written paranormal horror story that kept me entranced and wanting more. The lush, almost cinematic landscapes that the author paints are only matched by the quirky and compelling characters. In particular, I thought the opening paragraph was haunting enough to suck the reader in for the rest of the book. If Elixir of Death were made into a movie, I could see David Lynch directing it, and (from me) that's high praise indeed!
